Love this place. Nothing like the ultimate comfort food. Yummy fish and chips or bangers and mash. Service is always phenomenal. These people treat you like family. And the decor makes you feel like you stepped into a cozy little pub somewhere in the UK. Definitely one of my favorites to visit for lunch.

Silkys was built in the original Fountain Valley Post Office in September of 1984. I can rember standing in line with my mother in that small building. After many decades of GREAT times, Silky Sullivans is closing for good on 11/25/2014

Likes: + Yummy, culturally exotic food. + I like the flavoring the put on the Lamb Chops. + The meat-stuff potato Sundae was an enjoyable experience. + Friendly, exciting ambience. + Polite, helpful staff. Non-likes: - Crowded, limited parking. - Moderately exorbitant. My meal alone coast $41. I was hoping closer to $30-35. - They aren't great with phone calls. After 5 tries did they finally pick up the phone. - They have no online ordering platform whatsoever (no DoorDash, no UberEats, not even their own website has an Order Online button). I had: $15.95 Sullivan's Irish Sundae + $19.95 Cajun Lamb Chops + tax = $41.20 for one person

Easily one of my favorite bars to frequent with my friends. They have the best Irish Coffee by far, especially with their house-made whipped cream. They always have great events planned, my favorites are when they have live music. Great service, great ambiance, and great drinks. Would recommend

My new favorite spot. Comfy outdoor seating. Great service and homemade ranch! They make their corned beef in house and it was delicious in the Reuben sandwich. They brought our pups water and a piece of bacon! Will definitely come back to try wings and other menu items. So glad I found this place.

This is a really nice dive bar. The staff were very friendly. Our server was awesome. They have a band playing the 90's songs. So dope! Me and my friends had a great time playing darts and singing along with the band. We will surely be back!

Authentic Irish Bar. Friendly staff. Rather dark inside. Nice variety of beers on tap, including Blue Moon. The French Onion Soup was good. The Fish and Chips were good.

Been coming to Silky Sullivan's for over a decade and it's exactly what I look for in an Irish Pub. It feels like a local neighborhood spot where people know each other and everyone is in good spirits. They do really try to make this place fun and lively. There's always something going on at Silky's. We have a certain night we like to go in and I like to sit in a specific area to get the waitress I like, but every employee we have interacted with has been great. If you're going to order food here I recommend sticking to pub grub or Irish fare. I personally don't even think there should be Mexican food on this menu but that's just me. Sometimes the parking lot can get full, but there's plenty of street parking on San Mateo.
